What Is an Ideal Weight Calculator?
An ideal weight calculator estimates body weight from height using one or more mathematical formulas. The term “ideal weight” can be misleading because there is no single body weight that is medically ideal for every person of the same height.
This calculator therefore compares several formulas rather than presenting one result as the correct answer.
How Does This Ideal Weight Calculator Work?

What Is a Healthy Weight Range?
A broader weight range can be calculated from height using standard adult BMI cut-offs. This calculator displays the approximate weight corresponding to BMI values of 18.5 to 24.9.
